Foundation Subjects

Pupils at St Thomas More are very proud of their learning in Foundation Subjects.

Foundation Subjects are taught through the use of high quality texts.

Our Subject Leads have planned the whole curriculum from EYFS to Year 6 for their subjects, incorporating the  skills, knowledge and vocabulary to be taught each term.

Each year group will study History, Geography or Science each term and all learning linked to the theme for the term is recorded in a Learning Journal.

By the end of each year children will have 3 Learning Journals, full of their learning and happy memories of trips and visitors for them to take home, share with their families and keep forever.
